Why You'll Love It
The Feel of the Place
Brighton became Utah's first ski area in 1936, and the town around it incorporated in 2020. Brighton Resort and Solitude Mountain Resort are both inside town limits.
Summer brings the Silver Lake boardwalk, Lake Mary and Twin Lakes hikes and lift-served mountain biking at Solitude.
Most homes are cabins and condos, and about 80% are second homes, so full-time residents get a quiet, close-knit mountain community. Buyers should know the canyon is Salt Lake City watershed, with limits on water hookups, no dogs in parts of it, and UDOT's planned winter tolls and expanded buses targeted for 2028.
