Why You'll Love It
The Feel of the Place
Cedar Fort was settled in 1852 and named for its juniper ("cedar") picket fort, and the ruins of an unfinished pioneer stone fort are still in town. It was the Cedar County seat from 1856 to 1861, and Johnston's Army camped here in 1858 before founding Camp Floyd. Homes sit on half-acre to multi-acre parcels, with some larger ranch properties.
The Pioneer Day celebration, with a rodeo dating to 1924 and a famous town water fight, is the big event of the year. Eagle Mountain covers groceries, schools and dining, and Lehi's tech corridor is about 20–25 minutes away. The town is planning a sewer transition and an annexation, so growth is coming, gradually.
